La Union Soulsurf 2014

(San Juan, La Union // October 24-25-26)

okay, so this is how the story goes here.............

We left Marikina- Friday 5am, filled  my car with enough gas and off we go! After few minutes after an hour, we had our 1st stopover at McDonald-Lakeshore and there we ate our first meal for the day.

We stayed there for almost an hour and wheels on the road again. Nearly 4-hour drive, we had our 2nd stopover at the first Shell Gas Station after the La Union arch sign. Had a quick 30-minute yosi break, radiator water check and bought ice cubes. We then continued the travel, and since it's almost 11am and gutom na kami, we had our lunch at Manna Mall. Naglakad-lakad ng konti since ang tagal na naming nakaupo sa kotse, we also bought groceries etc.

We reached San Juan 12:30pm and looked for available rooms to stay. God is so good that no more than 15mins, we found Aling Josie's room for rent.

2,000 for a 3days 2 nights stay, inclusive of AC room, Toilet & Bath, sala and kitchen.
Yes! it is indeed a good deal pero nung 1st day namin, sobrang tagal lumamig ng AC. 2pm binuksan ung AC pero almost 6pm na hindi pa din malamig. Understandable naman since the owner of the house is in the US kaya matagal ng hindi nagagamit un. Buti na lang there’s an extra wall fan. The place is just across Little Surfmaid, so very convenient since walking distance lang sya from the beach.

Anyway, after we settled our things, parked the car, cleaned ourselves, we first decided to sleep and rest. Since AC is not functioning properly, I could not sleep, so habang mahimbing na nagpapahinga si Jok, nag walkathon muna ako along San Juan stretch.

I woke him up past 5pm. We prepared and cooked carbonara for dinner, fixed ourselves, then off we go to the beach.

We were accompanied by Mojitos and Red horse with local live bands as our background music. We felt very safe kasi may standby pulis sa beach shore na pinag iinuman namin.  We closed day 1 past-2am and it went oooooh so well!

We started day 2 almost 9am. We cooked hamburgers with chips on the side. We had breakfast in the sala and just chilling as if we have all the time in the world. After few hours, we decided to go out and GET STOKE!

Jok decided to surf while I looked for Harley and Ian at Seanymph Cafe. Kwentuhan lang for few hours then we took advantage sa mga booth na may mga freebies!!! yahoooo!!! We got 3 shirts and 3 pictures from OLX. GUESS gave us 3 hanky, 2 frisbees, 3 sealed-pouches, 2 sunglasses, 2 pamaypays and freeeeeeeee orange bacardi!!!! Medyo tinamaan ako sa GUESS booth dahil nakalagpas 1pitcher kami ng bacardi.
ANG SAYAAAA SAYAAAAA!!!!

We went back sa room ng mga 4pm para mag freshen up and rest before pumunta sa concert event that night.

Jok cooked pesto, THE BEST PESTO EVER na natikman ko!!! I SWEAR! #walanghalongbiro with hungarian sausage on the side.

After cleaning up the kitchen and the room, we went back sa beach around 7pm. Again, we had Mojitos, this time, partnered by our most favorite empi lights!

Harley, Ian and Junphil came past-11pm. Medyo may tama na kami nun kaya medyo chill na lang kami ni Jok while they bought some more booze. We leave the place around 2am and before we headed back to our room, we dropped by at Jok's friends sesh... just few steps from our inuman place.
sorry for some blurred photos.... #medyonakainumna

We ended our awesome day 2 around 4am. \m/

YES! The past 2 days went perfectly fine, but we are not done yet. We woke up before 9am and we prepared our BurAgeSiRice (Burger-Sausage-egg and rice).

After few cleaning and resting, we went back to the beach for the last soulsurf swim. We partnered the bimming sun with cans of Red Horse while posing for some snapshots wearing our "own-designed" rashguards.

We packed our things and leave San Juan around 3pm and before we rolled back to Manila, Jok treated me with late lunch date at Max's San Fernando.

We reached Marikina past-10pm and we went straight to Kelman’s place, there goes Kits, Julius and RJ. J We were able to sleep around 2-3am.

THIS WAS AN EPIC SOULSURF EXPERIENCE AND I WILL DEFINITELY, DEFINITELY WAIT FOR SOULSURF2015!!!
